It’s no secret that Asheville is a PRIME spot for an epic elopement. The Blue Ridge Mountains are stunning year-round, the food scene is unreal, and the whole city feels like it was designed for slow mornings, craft beer afternoons, and mountain-view sunsets.
But you’re probably here because you’re not interested in lacing up your hiking boots, trekking 10 miles, and arriving at your ceremony sweaty and out of breath.
If you’re thinking of eloping in Asheville but want incredible views without the elevation gain, this guide is for you. These are 14 of the best places to elope in Asheville that don’t require hiking—just good vibes, stunning backdrops, and maybe a celebratory beer afterward.

Why I Love Shooting Asheville Elopements
This isn’t just a “cool location” for me.
Asheville feels like a second home. I come up here often to shoot, I have vendor friends in the area, and I know the flow of the city—which spots get crowded, which overlooks are best at sunrise, and how to build a timeline that actually works.

And here’s something important you should know about my Asheville elopement packages: Asheville is included in all of my wedding and elopement packages.
Because it’s within my 4-hour one-way travel radius, I don’t charge a travel fee for Asheville. So if you’re planning an Asheville elopement, you’re not adding hidden costs just because you want mountains instead of a ballroom.

14 Places to Elope in Asheville, NC
1. Omni Grove Park Inn
If you want mountain views without stepping onto a trail, this is your spot. The Sunset Terrace overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains and gives you dramatic scenery with zero hiking required.
Perfect for couples who:
- Want luxury-meets-mountain vibes
- Prefer accessibility for guests
- Love historic architecture
- Want an elevated dinner reservation immediately after

2. The Biltmore Estate
If you’re leaning romantic and European-inspired, the Biltmore delivers. Gardens, rolling lawns, mountain views—all accessible.
My favorite areas for elopements:
- The Italian Garden (clean lines + reflective pools)
- The Conservatory (lush, romantic greenhouse energy)
- The Lagoon at sunset (underrated and SO pretty)
Spring here is unreal. Blooms everywhere. Soft light. Zero hiking required.
This is ideal for a polished Asheville elopement that still feels intimate and intentional.
3. The Blue Ridge Parkway
Yes, most blogs will tell you to hike. But, there are dozens of scenic pull-offs and overlooks where you can step out of the car and have jaw-dropping views within seconds.
My personal favorites:
- Craggy Gardens Overlook (easy access + iconic layered mountains)
- Haw Creek Valley Overlook (beautiful depth in photos)
You literally park, step out, and you’re there. A mountain elopement doesn’t have to mean a mountain workout.
Check out this overlook guide to see all of the options!

4. Asheville Botanical Garden
FREE. Peaceful. And wildly underrated.
This is a great alternative to Biltmore’s spring vibe without the estate-level scale. It feels more relaxed and more local. See Emily and Joseph’s Elopement at the Botanical Garden.
If you want soft greenery and a low-key Asheville elopement experience, this is such a good option. Plus, it’s just outside of the River Arts District (RAD) for some fun activities after!

5. River Arts District
If mountains aren’t your whole personality (respect), this is your spot. Murals. Industrial brick. Creative energy. The French Broad flowing in the background.
Pair this with:
- Matching tattoos
- A stop at Wicked Weed Brewing
- Or celebratory drinks at Burial Beer Co.
Asheville is Beer City for a reason. Lean into it.

6. Asheville Art Museum
You could easily:
- Have a courthouse ceremony
- Walk over here for portraits
- End the night on a rooftop bar
It feels contemporary and intimate without sacrificing aesthetics.
7. Southern Highland Craft Gild
If you love Appalachian culture and artisan spaces, this backdrop feels meaningful and textured. It’s cozy without being rustic in a cliché way.

8. Asheville Balloon Company
Want something unforgettable? Say your vows at sunrise. In a hot air balloon. Over the Blue Ridge Mountains. No hiking. Just floating. It’s peak mountain elopement energy without breaking a sweat.
9. City Brew Tours Asheville
If your love language is craft beer, elope and then hop straight into a brewery tour. Asheville is Beer City USA for a reason.
This is SUCH a fun way to build an Asheville NC elopement package that feels experience-first instead of ceremony-only.

10. Waterfall Hunting Without The Hike
Looking Glass Falls is one of the BEST waterfall locations near Asheville that requires almost no hiking. Park. Walk a short paved path. Done. Suuuuper low effort.
Dry Falls is another waterfall you can access easily. You can literally walk behind the waterfall.
I always recommend waterfall chasing during the spring months when rain is common so that the waterfalls are actually full and dramatic in the best way.
11. Asheville Treetops Adventure Park
Say your vows and then zipline. If you want your Asheville elopement to feel adventurous but accessible, this adds a little adrenaline without hiking to witness a beautiful view of the mountains. Plus, you can spend part of the day taking an off-road tour! The off-roading option is especially fun if you want those epic mountain views but don’t want to physically hike to them. It gives you that “we ran away into the mountains” energy— ust with a vehicle doing the heavy lifting.
12. Golf Courses Around Asheville
Open fairways + mountain backdrops = incredible sunset ceremonies. No hiking required, just golden light stretching across the greens.
Perfect for couples who:
- Love golf
- Want wide-open mountain views
- Prefer easy access for family

13. Downtown Asheville Rooftop Bars & Event Spaces
Rooftop bars and boutique hotels give you skyline + mountain views in one.
My favorites:
Mountain views. Skyline vibes. Dinner reservations waiting downstairs.
This is perfect if you want your Asheville elopement to feel like a date night, just slightly more iconic and intentional.

14. Western North Carolina Nature Center
If you want a wooded, nature-forward Asheville elopement without hiking into Pisgah, this is such an underrated option. The Nature Center has forested pathways with natural backdrops, beautiful wildlife + Appalachian ecosystem energy, plus the parking is simple.
This spot feels very Asheville. Slightly quirky while being rooted in the mountains without being performative about it.

Notable Asheville Moments to Build Into Your Elopement Weekend
Because eloping in Asheville isn’t just about the ceremony location. It’s about the whole weekend.
Sunday Drum Circle + Buskers in Downtown Asheville
Every Sunday evening (weather permitting), downtown Asheville turns into an open-air celebration. Drummers gather in Pritchard Park, buskers line the streets, and the whole city feels alive.

Summer Festivals in Asheville
Asheville summers are full of music, art, and food festivals.
Depending on your timing, you could plan your elopement weekend around:
This works especially well if:
- You want your elopement weekend to feel like a getaway
- You’re inviting a small group of friends
- You want built-in activities without overplanning
You could:
- Change into a fun second outfit
- Grab quirky, colorful portraits
- Play pinball as newlyweds
If you lean playful over traditional, this is a great option!
If you’re building out a full Asheville elopement weekend (which I highly recommend), this is such a good add-on. Salt Spa is one of those spots that just feels calm the second you walk in. They have salt room sessions, massages, and other treatments that are perfect if you want to slow the day down a bit.
