About Raven

Hey, I’m Raven

(she/her)

Photographer, pun enthusiast, and the person your nervous system has been waiting for.

Here's the thing — the wedding industry still has a problem.
Open any photographer's portfolio and it's Groundhog Day. The perfume flatlay. The dress on the coat hanger. The same 1000 combinations of group shots, just with different faces.
Bridesmaids still matching. Fathers still "giving away" their daughters. The whole thing still wrapped in a ribbon of this is just how it's done.
It's never been my vibe.

So I built something else

Something that actually felt true to me and to the couples I was showing up for. 250+ weddings of figuring out what that really meant.
Here's what I landed on: the best photos happen when people forget I'm there. Because I built a space where people actually feel safe enough to let go.
That's what all those years taught me. Not just the technical stuff. The ability to walk into a room full of big emotions, ease into the rhythm of the day, and make the whole camera thing feel like no big deal.

This is what letting go looks like.

What You Can Expect From Me

If having your photo taken makes your stomach twist into knots, thank goodness you found me.

I’ve always felt camera-shy, so I built this experience for people just like us.
Start the conversation
When I show up, I ease into the rhythm of your day.
No interruptions, no dragging you away from your people.
couple looking at each other and walking up the stairs after their ceremony
Just a calm presence in the background documenting everything — and ready with my top 5 jokes if you need a circuit breaker.

I take time to really know you

through video calls, deep-dive questionnaires, and paying attention to what you don’t say as much as what you do.

So I know what to look for before I even show up

Bridesmaid holding jewelry
Like how your grandma’s necklace isn’t just jewelry.
Or that your partner always makes you snort laugh when you're tearing up.
And that's what I'm there for.

Or that your sibling will 1000% ugly cry during the speeches.

I’m not here to fit you into a template or
make you perform a version of yourself.

Your version is always the best version.

If you want someone to document the day without asking you to be anything but yourself...I'm in.

As people (and queer folks) who aren't immediately comfortable with posing/having our picture taken, getting to work with Raven was such a gift.

Before Weddings

Raven did it all — from the photo department at Medieval Times (not as bad as it sounds) to the whirlwind of Santa’s Workshop at the mall (exactly as bad as it sounds).

Identifies With:

Steve Rogers, Baymax, Jane Bennet, and Samwise Gamgee — which means she shows up with an open heart, an extra hair tie, and probably a protein bar.

Hobbies

When not taking photos of awesome humans, you’ll probs find Raven exploring a new trail with partner Nic, obsessing over their cat Kyrie, or getting way too invested in a YA fictional universe. (Tapping into other worlds helps her stay grounded in this one—especially when documenting moments that matter.)

First Ever Wedding Shot

Two 70-year-olds, no frills, no production — just vows in a chapel and cake in the backyard. Watching them lean into what mattered (and skip the rest) lit the spark that became this work: helping you feel truly free to do it your way.
