Atlanta Engagement Portraits // Kristy & Michelle
First things first: Kristy & Michelle are THE CUTEST. For their Atlanta engagement portraits, we knew that we wanted to capture places that matter to them. With that in mind, we planned a session that would start in their favorite place {home} and move us through the city into places they enjoy visiting.
Kristy & Michelle graciously welcomed me to their home, where I got to meet their cat, Bowie. He’s the most chill and lovely feline I’ve ever met {he’s so great}. Kristy & Michelle danced, played records, read aloud from favorite books to each other, and reminisced with me about awesome memories from their six years together so far. It was a beautiful start to their portrait session.
From there, we hit up one of the best stretches of street art in Atlanta: from the Krog Street Tunnel down to the Esther Peachy Lefevre Park. We paused whenever we were drawn to something, colors, textures, great light… It’s basically how I always work and I love the creativity it allows. Then we finished up at Oakland Cemetery, an absolute favorite spot for me! The flowers had just started blooming {we even found some magnolias!} and the weather was gorgeous. By the end of their session, Kristy & Michelle were sharing their celebrity impressions with me, which was a true honor. It was definitely a beautiful and super fun day with two cool people!
