Atlanta Lifestyle Family Session // Jenny & Michael
There is truly nothing like working with a couple over and over again. I was so excited to see Jenny & Michael again. They’re a super special couple to me. We’ve shot together for their engagement, wedding, anniversary, maternity session, and now I got to meet Lizzie for their first family session! It’s such an honor to watch a family grow, like this. Since the last time I saw Jenny & Michael was during their maternity session, it was extra exciting to get to meet their new little girl in person finally!! When I get to work with a couple over and over again like this, I really get to build on our bond and develop something special together. It’s so meaningful to capture both big and small moments for every family I work with.
Lizzie was absolutely adorable. She was super with us {especially considering I had a camera up in her face} and I adored watching Jenny & Michael be parents. Since Lizzie is still little and Jenny & Michael wanted to capture this incredible season of their life as a family, we decided to have their portraits at their house. We started off on the couch in their living room, with lots of cuddles and some reading. Lizzie got to play with her favorite toys before even more cuddles with Jenny & Michael. While these moments might feel “small” or “mundane” at the time, I know for a fact that they turn out to be the best and biggest moments of all.
After some time indoors, we moved to their back patio. Seriously: it’s a dream. There’s all of these amazing plants everywhere and they’ve got a great garden going, too. So dreamy and perfect for some photos! We ended their lifestyle family session with a walk to a park nearby that they all love. It was the best way to end our time together. Jenny & Michael held Lizzie, letting her snuggle as we found some beautiful spots {like the gorgeous fountain} for their final portraits.
Jenny & Michael, thank you for trusting me with yet another chapter in your life together. It was such a beautiful day and I’m anxiously waiting for the next time I get to see your incredible family!
