Black Balsam Knob Engagement Session // Lauren & Jake
I met Lauren & Jake at the Elope NC vendor expo at Chatham Station in Cary, NC. It was a phenomenal event and I can’t wait for the next one this spring! From the moment we had their consultation to discuss plans for an engagement session, I was so charmed by them. Lauren & Jake have such a great energy with each other. Laidback and quiet, with a playful humor just below the surface: basically my kind of people.
I scoured a number of different hikes for us to take for this session, knowing I wanted to focus on mountain views and something DIFFERENT for the two of them. Through a complete twist of fate {and some wild weather}, we chose Black Balsam Knob, which has been on my short list of hikes I’d wanted to check out for such a long time! We almost had the trail to ourselves and the wind was UP, creating some epicly romantic and windswept portraits for these two. I absolutely freaking love hiking engagement portraits. I just think they always look amazing – and I love the extra time with my couples!
We laughed, froze, joked, talked about how much we liked Wednesday, and I was head over heels for their whole vibe. Lauren & Jake, thank you two SO MUCH for hiking through the mud to play on a mountain with me! Enjoy a peek into their Black Balsam Knob engagement session!
