Farm Wedding Day in Atlanta // TJ & Cass
Rolling up to TJ & Cass’s wedding venue, I knew we were going to be in for a great time. I mean honestly, just having the pleasure of meeting TJ & Cass for their Little Five Points engagement session means I knew the day would be rad as hell, but it only got better! The theme of the day was based around the couple’s love of all things music festivals. This was combined with a healthy dose of vacations and camping trips. The venue itself is a mini-farm rescue operation run by a close friend, so we had the pleasure of visiting with dogs, pigs, and donkeys throughout the day.
The day was stunning, really nice and warm with a pristine blue sky during the day, with just a bit of a chill at night {honestly, perfect hiking weather too!} as the party ramped up. There were little nods to trips the two had taken together and a ton of musical references, like the records and music line-up posters and the Muppet band Electric Mayhem themselves gracing the tops of the wedding cakes.

Wedding Prep & First Look
The two dressed and readied with their respective sides with TJ at a nearby campground and Cass prepping at the venue. I met up with TJ and his side first, wandering all over the grounds and a mini-golf course and these guys being completely great sports about my ridiculous ideas {and sharing some of their own!}. Then we all headed to the nearby house, where we set up TJ & Cass for a super laid back, and so fitting for them, first look. {Many of my couples right now are opting for a slightly looser first look plan, which has been rad! I always want to go for whatever fits you two and your personalities best.}

Ceremony
What did you love about your venue/wedding location?
Besides the donkeys? We loved that it was at a friends place. We didn’t have to watch the clock to know when to leave! Partied till we were too tired to keep going!
Wedding Portraits
Most memorable moment from your wedding day?
It’s tough for the donkey escape to be topped!
Reception
Throughout the night there were some hilarious moments: the flower girl going rogue during the ceremony procession, stunningly choreographed entrances by the wedding party to the reception, some donkeys getting loose during the reception, and a HELL of a dance floor. We even stole away for a few minutes after dark for some nighttime photos, which I always love incorporating whenever possible.
What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
Spend money where you want to spend it! Don’t feel like you need to pay for things you don’t want! We loved that we were able to go a little over budget on a few things (photography, food) and underspend elsewhere (no DJ, free venue).
Any tips for future couples on how to prepare for their wedding photos?
Find a photographer you are comfortable with! With Raven we never felt like we were doing anything we didn’t want to do. It was just like hanging out with a friend!
This entire crew was so laidback, warm, and welcoming that I felt like one of them incredibly quickly. Everyone was so great and fun and I can’t thank TJ & Cass enough for having me!
