Zach & Kartik // Greystone Estate Wedding

Zach & Kartik’s wedding has been a LONG time coming. They’re definitely one of my couples who saw the most changes for their wedding plans through COVID. In fact, they actually sent out THREE Save-the-Dates! We did their first engagement session back in late 2019, then things obviously went on hold for a bit. So in the meantime, once their parents were able to visit again in 2021, I had the pleasure of photographing that reunion and we did another {mini} engagement session for their final Save-the-Date! So, to say we were all excited when the day of their Greystone Estate wedding finally arrived is a bit of a understatement. 

Wedding Day Prep

One of my favorite things about their wedding is their jackets, which Kartik was explaining to me as they got ready. There are so many intricate and beautiful details for brides or people who wear dresses and lace, etc, but they wanted some of this experience as well! So they found someone to do some stunning embroidery on their jackets, one signature design for each of the grooms. I think it’s such an amazing way to add personality and intricate beauty to their suits. They also chose to wore floral ties with their stunning jackets – and I’m still obsessed with those, too. Floral ties are definitely on my want-to-see-more-at-weddings list, now! 

Wedding Ceremony

They married at the Greystone Estate at Piedmont Park, a really fantastic venue that allows us a great view of the city skyline as well as some natural elements. Their ceremony took place right on the patio with a gorgeous view of Atlanta behind them. It was stunning {of course} and you could just feel the love radiating between Zach, Kartik, and their guests. A friend officiated the ceremony and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect for them. 

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?

Hearing each other’s vows after 3 years of planning and postponing our wedding.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?

Sweat the details while your’e planning, not while you’re partying.

Wedding Reception 

They knew they wanted colors and excitement for their people, who are definitely awesome party folks. Their reception was full of SO much joy. Zach and Kartik planned a choreographed first dance inspired by Bollywood, danced with both of their mothers, and had some incredible speeches given on their behalf.

Funniest moment on your wedding day?

Daniel splitting his pants on the first song and our planner, Sara, lending him her leggings.

It was such a joy and a relief to finally be at their wedding day, and it was such a gorgeous affair. Congratulations {finally}, Zack and Kartik!
