Inclusive Wedding Fair in Fayetteville, TN
There’s a group of vendors out of Huntsville, AL and the surrounding areas who are working to make the wedding industry a better place, and I couldn’t have been more honored to have been with them for their first Inclusive Wedding Fair! Over the last few months, I’ve really started to find my people in the industry. I love that this journey has taken me all over to celebrate love in all forms.
This February, I traveled into the hills of Tennessee to Sacred Stone for the first Inclusive Wedding Fair hosted by this group. It was a rainy day, but I actually love the mood on rainy days and it made shooting the event so fun. There I met Ashely, the owner of The Stylist Abroad and Charlie of Weddings on Deck who are both delightful. I’m so happy they put on such an incredible show and asked me to be there, too!
As a wedding vendor who wants to celebrate love {no matter the form}, creating spaces like this fair where couples can find resources and vendors who celebrate them really matters to me. At this Inclusive Wedding Fair, I had the chance to meet some incredible Southern wedding vendors who want our industry, in the South East of the US, to do better. While I was there, I had the chance to meet several incredible vendors who are just seriously awesome people and who will help couples create some unique wedding day experiences. Let’s talk about some of those vendors!

At the show, I had the chance to pet the super-soft ears of one of the animal stars of The Black Burro Events. These super sweet ladies will bring donkeys {yes, you read that right!} to your event. How cool is that? Afterwards, I had the chance to try two catering companies who had delicious broccoli salad and homemade chicken nuggets, which I then followed up with amazingly gorgeous and delicious treats from both Urban Cookhouse & Williams House Confections. Both companies presented such beautiful treats, I almost didn’t want to eat them!
I also had the chance to sit and talk with Tay of Native Petals, who had the most incredible floral setups. She was even kind enough to let me borrow and then even arrange some greenery for me on my table! Being able to connect with her {and borrow some flowers} was simply amazing. These connections are definitely why I love fairs like this. Finally, we ALL loved the incredible charcuterie spread from Honey Box Huntsville. It was truly one of the most beautiful charcuterie spreads I’ve ever seen. Most of us figured it was fake food because it was so beautiful and didn’t want to eat it. I was so glad when they said we could!!
The Inclusive Wedding Fair also had spaces for some DJs, a travel planning company, and other photographers who I had the chance to connect with. Overall, it was a truly beautiful event in the foothills of Tennessee. I can’t explain enough how happy I am to see so many vendors demanding change in the industry so everyone can plan a wedding of their dreams and with people who love and support them!
