Lifestyle Engagement Session at Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary
One of the things I love best about planning engagement sessions is really flipping the idea of what they “should be” on its head. Michelle & Skyler’s lifestyle engagement session at Yellow River Sanctuary and at their home was exactly that. We focused on all of the things that make them special – and their relationship special… including their home, their dog Momo, and so much more.
Some of the things that really stood out to me while getting to know Michelle & Skyler were cinnamon rolls, Scrabble, Legos, the Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary, and Momo. SO! We built a day around all of these best things. We started off with them putting in cinnamon rolls to bake while they cuddled Momo on the back porch. Then they went for a move or two of their current Scrabble game while enjoying the ready rolls amid all of the stellar Lego builds in their dining room. Finally, before heading out for the sanctuary, we hung out with Momo in the front, impeccably decorated, room with coffee.
We chose the Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary as their second location because it was somewhere the two of them had really enjoyed going over the past year. Plus, it’s always been a personal favorite of mine! There are tons of awesome animals to see – and often feed! – and interact with, plus beautiful greenery resulting in a really fun walk.
Our sessions together are always completely built around you and what holds meaning for you. That’s what an awesome day would look like. I hope that Michelle & Skyler’s engagement session inspires you to build a session you’ll love.
