Lifestyle Engagement Session in Downtown Decatur // Amy & Britt Engagement
I had such a blast with Amy & Britt for their lifestyle engagement session in Downtown Decatur! Their session was about all of the things they love to do: being at home, baking, exploring downtown, and just spending time together. We started off in-home before heading to explore some of their favorite spots in Decatur {and I eventually left them to enjoy their date night!}.
I met up with Amy & Britt at their house, so we could start their session with their dogs. From the beginning they told me how important it was to have their furry babies in their photos. Honestly, capturing my couples with their pets is one of my favorite things to do, so I was stoked to see their dogs! After some good couch cuddles, Amy & Britt baked some fall goodies, played a round of a board game they’ve been enjoying lately and then we headed out. Before we left, I made sure to capture a few photos of Amy & Britt together outside their home. They have the most cheery and beautiful house – I love the colors they chose to paint the door and shutters. It’s so fun and I’m happy we could document what life looks like right now for Amy & Britt there.
Downtown Decatur GA Engagement Portraits
Our next stop was a bookstore they love, Little Shop of Stories! This place actually has become one of my favorite spots in Downtown Decatur. I’ve shot in there a number of times and it’s always such a good feeling and everyone is so kind. {Plus it was Banned Book Week, and I love that they were celebrating it.} Amy & Britt got to poke around and we captured some super cute photos of them together in a spot they love. There’s nothing better than that!
Lastly we hit up Sceptre Brewing, a brewery they enjoy with a lovely outdoor patio and greenspace right next door. It was the perfect spot to end our session and time together. They were able to grab a drink and enjoy the outdoor space before I left them to their date night.
Amy & Britt, you are both such wonderful people and I’m so happy I had the chance to capture your engagement session here in Decatur. I can’t wait for your wedding day!!
