Matt & Jordan’s mountainside wedding in West Virginia was a damned TREAT.

I’m a sucker for couples with whom I click well instantly, and Matt & Jordan were exactly that. If I may be so forward, we hit it off instantly, and I was completely starstruck by this beautiful, amazing couple {pro pilot + pro soccer player, is this real life?!}, and I have cherished every single moment with them since Matt first emailed me.

Their wedding was full of love and laughter, I was tearful {out of joy!} on more than one occasion, and everything was go-with-the-flow laidback. Some of my favorite things about this wedding {aside from the amazing people, who were everywhere}:

  • Matt’s dad’s homemade Polaroid photobooth with black and white film that he specially tracked down for the wedding
  • the hilarious hand-painted signs, everywhere
  • epic ring-bearer and his presentation of the ring
  • M&J’s wine box they sealed as their unity ceremony
  • the view from the ceremony
  • the DANCING
  • and oh, be still my heart, the perfect dip at the end of the sparkler exit
  • {They also had some of the BEST wedding food I’ve ever had! Check out this caterer!}

Nic & I found ourselves looking forward to this wedding ALL YEAR, and we so excited to spend the day with Matt, Jordan, and their crew. THANK YOU, Matt & Jordan. You’re outstanding human beings. <3

Vendor information at the bottom of the post, advice from Matt & Jordan throughout.

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?

M&J: Saying our vows, the fantastic crowd on the dance floor, and the sparkler send-off.
Funniest moment from your wedding day?

M&J: The group photo shoots when [Raven was] making us laugh, and Cole presenting the rings during the ceremony.
What were you most anxious/nervous about regarding your wedding day and how did it turn out?

M&J: Keeping it together during our vows, it was close, but we held it together.
What advice you would give to other couples planning their wedding?

M&J: Do as much as you can as early as you can, and budget around your dream venue, photographer, and videographer. And hire Raven!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

M&J: Our DJ could take a hike. He was our classic wedding “face-palm.”
Any tips for future couples on how to prepare for the wedding photos?

M&J: Relax. The cameras are everywhere, yes, but you must try to ignore them. Find a joke that makes your spouse laugh, and use it in tense moments: the photographer will take care of the rest.
