Izzi & Tiona’s wedding at Atlanta Utility Works was absolute joy and perfection. This was my first wedding at Atlanta Utility Works – and it did not disappoint! Izzi & Tiona leaned into what makes this space unique as they planned their celebration. They created a day that was full of the perfect combination of rustic, modern and industrial vibes.

I love any chance I get to work with Izzi & Tiona because they’re just really cute together. After prepping with their loved ones, Izzi & Tiona met for their first look. It was just them  surrounded by vintage furniture and we found this incredible couch for some stunning portraits in the space! They honestly had the best reactions to each other’s wedding day looks so the start of the day felt fun.

Wedding Ceremony at Atlanta Utility Works

Izzi & Tiona chose a color scheme featuring bright colors like teal, yellow, pink & purple that tied into all of the decor of the space. The venue really spoke for itself. So, Izzi & Tiona kept their decor minimal to showcase what makes Atlanta Utility Works unique. For their ceremony, Izzi & Tiona chose to tie the knot in the courtyard surrounded by the brick building. Their guests came dressed to the nines {which was just so fun}. For the ceremony, both walked down the aisle with their parents – meeting in the middle. Izzi’s dad served as their ring bearer, bringing the rings to them during the ceremony and it was absolutely adorable.

Atlanta Utility Works Wedding Reception

The rest of the night was spent celebrating with their family and friends inside Atlanta Utility Works. Everyone definitely showed up for Izzi & Tiona – including emotional speeches and a special moment from Izzi’s dad to Tiona. He gifted her an angel wing pin, inducting her officially into the “Angel” family. It was so sweet – and a perfect way to bring these families together. Izzi & Tiona spent the rest of their reception dancing with everyone. I swear, this dance floor was packed throughout the whole night! Nobody ever left! It was a freaking blast.

Izzi & Tiona, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day! I had such a wonderful time and I know all of your guests did, too!

I’m here to capture the real, unfiltered moments—the ones that feel like you. As a documentary photographer, I focus on telling the story of your day as it happens, from quiet, intimate details to full-on celebrations with your favorite people. No awkward poses, no forced smiles—just honest, heartfelt images that reflect the energy and emotion of your wedding. An Atlanta Utility Works wedding is the perfect match for this approach, with its mix of historic character, open-air charm, and effortlessly photogenic spaces that make every moment feel authentic and timeless.

My advice for this venue:

  • Each bride got ready in one of the getting ready spaces across the venue, then switched by one walking inside the venue and one walking outside, so they could trade off hair & makeup artists without seeing each other! So clever. Both spaces are really unique and fun.
  • Family and wedding party photos were taken at the altar spot, which made a great backdrop.
  • For their couple photos, we wandered all around, but especially out front where their sign celebrating their wedding was.
