Jessica and Thomas wanted their Decatur Square engagement session to feel like their best date documented.
We started at their house with their animals before heading to Decatur Square. Pets bring a particular ease to the beginning of a session, and by the time we arrived in downtown Decatur the two of them were already completely relaxed.
We stopped into Dancing Goats Coffee on Decatur Square for coffee and they ended up picking up a few early Christmas gifts while they were in there. Unplanned, completely them. Then we wandered into an art festival happening along the streets of Decatur Square, sidewalk chalk artists set up everywhere. One of my favorite things about Decatur is that there’s almost always something like this going on, and it just became part of their day.
We ended moving through some of their favorite shops around Decatur Square, grabbing a few more Christmas gifts, unhurried, just the two of them in a neighborhood they love.
