Congratulations, Alex & Gabe! I had the absolute joy of photographing Alex & Gabe’s gorgeous North Georgia wedding day at Koury Farms, a vineyard not far from where I live actually! It was my first time at this beautiful spot and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful reason to be there. Alex & Gabe are a fun and light-hearted couple – who have so much incredible support around them. Everyone I saw truly made this day special.

Getting Ready

One of the things that I really loved about Alex’s ensemble specifically is that her gown was a vintage dress that she was gifted. She loves vintage fashion and so it was truly a serendipitous moment to be gifted this gown – something that really fit the vision for her wedding dress. It was a simple and elegant gown, but she found the best accessories for it! Alex & Gabe prepared with their wedding party and had some really meaningful people at their sides for the day.

North Georgia Wedding Ceremony

When it came to Alex & Gabe’s wedding ceremony, you could just feel how emotional this was for them and everyone there. Along with their favorite people standing with them, they had a friend come down the aisle as the flower guy {complete with flower petals and a fanny pack}. He did a whole dance and honestly, it was freaking great.

Documentary Wedding Photography at Koury Farms

I think that one of the reasons that Alex, Gabe and I gelled so well together was because they really loved my documentary style of photography. It was something I focused on throughout their whole wedding day. Koury Farms has a small vineyard on the property – so that’s where we did the bulk of Alex & Gabe’s portraits. It was a super windy day and I think it really made for some incredible moments! I especially loved how the wind moved Alex’s skirt and veil and she was totally chill – knowing it could be like this. My other favorite moment was when Alex & Gabe told me that they wanted to run through the vines with their wedding party chasing them. I was straight up delighted by the request and I love how the final images really came together.

Koury Farms Wedding Reception

Their reception was so much fun too! I loved their DJ – he actually had everyone play games like musical chairs. It was wild at first, but a really good time. Poor Gabe managed to lose and hit the floor {you’ll see that moment below!}. Alex & Gabe chose to keep their reception and celebration in the daytime, so it was nice to be able to celebrate and wrap up everything early – and I know their guests appreciated it too!
