Rachel, Matt, & Clara had me over to their home to enjoy some tea and stories recently and I was more than happy to oblige. I’ve known Rachel since college, and while Matt and Clara are newer to me still, I think they’re both rad. It was so good to see these three again after their time abroad. There’s something so special about photographing a family over and over again. I get to see them grow, change, and become even more incredible people!

We decided to start outside in their backyard with some updated portraits of the family, as well as each of them with Clara. She looked so sweet in her dress and big bow! Clara loved showing off Luna to me. Luna was a hoot and such a big weirdo, but I loved every second with her. Honestly, she made so many of their photos for me {especially the ones on the couch inside}! Afterwards, we moved inside where they read to Clara and then all three of them enjoyed a cuppa! They recently moved back from living in Dublin, so I enjoyed hearing about their adventures, and seeing how the trip has changed their daily living.
I loved that this session was truly about capturing a little slice of their life. From reading to tea on the couch to a rambunctious dog, it was truly a fantastic time. Creating portraits for your family that speak volumes about who you are and are also art? Such a dream come true. Thank you for asking me over for tea {and some photos}!
