Erin reached out to me about capturing her surprise proposal to Summer, and I was instantly onboard! She specifically wanted to make it really special and really intentional. Erin had the location picked out already as it was somewhere that meant a lot to them. From there, their Little Mulberry Park Proposal began to take shape as I helped sort some of the smaller details all of which unfolded beautifully on a gorgeous spring day.

Erin knew exactly where the proposal had to happen at Little Mulberry Park: the same sunny hill where she and Summer first sat and talked for hours. It was that day that she just knew she wanted Summer in her life forever. And so, on this perfect spring day, she was ready to circle back to that sunny hill and make it official.
We’d talked through the details, keeping it grounded, intentional, and unmistakably them. I got there early, camera in hand as I played the role of “birdwatcher” (which, to be fair, I sort of was—Little Mulberry’s got great bird life). Erin and Summer arrived with their picnic basket in hand, and almost immediately, Summer’s eyes sharpened, knowing something was up.

Little Mulberry Park Proposal
At this point the ring was burning a hole in Erin’s pocket, and even though Summer knew something was about to happen it didn’t dampen the moment at all. After they finished setting up their picnic, Erin knelt down to propose. Summer was still stunned even though she suspected something was going on. She couldn’t stop grinning – her whole face lit up. They laughed. Teared up. Held onto each other like they always would. They each had rings for the other, which made the exchange even more layered and sweet.

They celebrated with Champagne and snacks, as their happiness bubbled over. From there, we wandered around the park’s winding paths, soaking in the day. Little Mulberry is a favorite of theirs, and moving through it together, newly engaged, felt like the park was quietly celebrating with us. It really was one of the most beautiful days of the spring with the warm sunlight shining down.
I can’t wait to see Erin and Summer again for their upcoming spring wedding. If their proposal was any indication, it’s going to be a joy-soaked day from start to finish.
