Raleigh Rose Garden Portrait Session // Jessica and Kris
Part of working on and through a business rebrand means checking in on every aspect of how you show up in the world and reevaluating if it’s still true to the new brand. So while discussing my new video with Kyle from Little Dog Photo & Video, he helped me build and visualize exactly what I was looking for. We scouted a couple of different options that really capture my style and my brand, finally settling on the Raleigh Rose Garden and two nearby spots, and I reached out to some couples in the area. It’s so important to me that by the time we work together, you know me. You have an idea of who I am, the kinds of jokes I make, the kind of experience you’re going to have. And I needed the video to reflect that, as well!
Raleigh Portrait Session
Jessica & Kris were friends of an acquaintance who volunteered to model for me in a portrait session at the Raleigh Rose Garden and I’m SO incredibly glad we found each other. My goal was to find a couple, not models pretending to be a couple; I wanted that chemistry, that connection that I work to bring forward in all the photos of my couples. I want you reading this to understand what it’s like to be in their shoes!
These two, aside from being beautiful humans, were such a blast to work with. I got to learn a bit about them and felt immediately comfortable with them. We frolicked – and I do mean frolicked – all over the garden, through rose bushes and under arbors and through the trees. The Raleigh Rose Garden is an incredible spot, just look at these flower colors!
We filmed my photographing this couple for their portrait session, then bid them farewell to grab some other portions of the video. I cannot wait to share the video with you! So I hope you enjoy these photos in the meantime!
