If you don’t already know, sunset sessions are pretty awesome. As a photographer, it’s one of my favorite times of day, along with the three hours before the sun actually disappears, also known as “the golden hour.” There’s such beautifully soft, golden light: it’s just a great time for shooting.
Sunrise, is an equally gorgeous time of day and has AMAZING light, though the result is a completely different feeling. It’s a soft, pastel light, gentle and cool.
Carolyn and Michael live in Jersey City, NJ, but were getting married in Madison, CT, and I was completely honored to come shoot their wedding for them. Instead lieu of an engagement or day-after session, we planned a day-before session one early morning before the wedding.
I was so excited about this sunrise session in Connecticut, and I LOVE how the images came out. Carolyn & Michael made the morning effortless, the way they cuddle and interact and are just generally awesome with each other. This place, and this session, are some of my favorite experiences ever. And it was COMPLETELY worth the early call-time. 😉
Thank you so much, Carolyn & Michael, for having us out a day early to play by the water with you in Connecticut.
