Bejeweled Inspired Taylor Swift Styled Shoot
One of the goals I’m setting for my year – and my life moving forward! – is to make more time for creation and creativity. It’s easy to lose that piece when you get swamped with the amazing clients and couples and shoots going on {which I do love!}. So, slowing down and making time for purely creative pursuits is something really important to me. Not only is it an amazing outlet for me as an artist, but it helps create space for practicing new and weird ideas and techniques that I can bring back to my clients.Recently, I participated in a Taylor Swift styled shoot hosted by Ashley Rockstar Photography in her outstanding studio in Atlanta with designs by Em Bender Designss and costumes by Ashley of Lapin Studios.
This incredible styled shoot really allowed me to have fun with some new techniques! The focus was Taylor Swift’s most recent songs and music videos from Midnights. And even though I knew very little about any of that going in, as soon as I saw the mood boards I knew I wanted to join in on this shoot, I LOVED the vibe and ideas. It was something I just couldn’t miss!
This first model is Ashley (of Lapin Studios!) in a costume and setting based off of the song/outfit/video for Bejeweled! I had such a great time playing with shooting through prisms and exploring color casts on this set. Then we popped over to the Anti-Hero set just to mix it up, and I HAD to play with the disco ball and some direct flash. This styled shoot was just pure fun and a really cool time. I’m so thankful that I had the chance to get creative at this fun Taylor Swift styled shoot with these amazing people!
