THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND MY PHOTOGRAPHY
Atlanta Wedding & Portrait Photographer
In my approximately 13 years as a photographer, I’ve photographed a myriad of different events and sessions, had so many random gigs. I was Santa’s helper at the mall. Then, I worked a mobile daycare setup bringing props and costumes, I’ve worked for soulless strip mall photography spots. I’ve done real estate photography, sports, events, fashion, pets, couples, weddings.
My style has changed, my business name has changed, I’ve changed as a person. I’ve seen wedding trends come, go, and come again. But through it all, I come back to my why: the reason I’m here, the reason I’m so passionate about this business and about bettering this industry.
My booking dates are limited
If we’re working together, that’s the only booking I took for that day. I want to give you my full attention. I’m picky about who I work with and wanting only to work with folks who are a good fit. I balance out my weeks to make sure I have enough time to care for each booking and stay on track. That’s why I only offer a limited number of wedding and session dates per year, and take some months off entirely to recuperate and ready both myself and my business for the next season. The truth is: I can’t take care of you if I’m not first caring for myself.

I’m always my authentic self
The work you see on my site and social channels is always my work and I’m always happy to share full wedding galleries with whomever wants to see them. I make sure that I’m myself so that you can be yourself, as well. My goal is always to create a comfortable and safe space for you to relax and be comfortable, even in front of a camera: so I bring the realness, too.

The Wedding packages are custom
Everything I build for my wedding clients is custom, meaning when we get on our Discovery Call together so I can learn all about you and what you’re looking for, the proposals I build are based on those discoveries and that information. I seek to build collections that fit your event, as tailored to you as the event itself is. Whether you’re eloping just the two of you or having a three day rager with 25 of your best, it’s all custom.

How we design your session is custom, too
From the moment we’re booked, I’m working to get to know you and your relationship. I want to know about first dates and falling in love. I want to know about the best times, the start of inside jokes, the quiet moments when it’s just the two of you. And then we build something together that mirrors that. Capturing some everyday moments and showing you the beauty in it all. No one’s love story is the same, so your session won’t be, either.

My shooting style is photojournalistic with art direction influences
What this means for you is that I want to capture who you are naturally with as little interference from me as possible, but that I’ll happily jump in if little tweaks are needed. I’m there to support and capture. I’m all about capturing who you are: real, honest, and natural. And my editing style reflects this as well: colorful and true to life, light editing that you don’t even notice is there.
I’m not for everyone, and that’s absolutely ideal. I want you to find what works best for you, and I only want to work with people for whom my style and philosophy resonate deeply. I’m here for the people who may not love having their photo taken. But they know they deserve to have their awesomeness captured. My clients know that they are amazing and unique, and deserve better.
Much love to all of my clients, past, present, and future. You’re all absolutely outstanding and incredible people. Thank you all so, so much.
