Mini Sessions

Information for My 2020 Mini Sessions

This year is, of course, a little different. In an effort to keep all of my amazing clients as safe as possible, I won’t be running multiple time slots in the same day, but instead will be offering multiple days with one time slot each at 4:30pm.

Safety Precautions

These sessions will be outdoor-only, but the exact location will be decided between you and me after we discuss what you’re looking for. I’ll be keeping my distance, will be masked, and have hand sanitizer available. When we meet up, I’ll give a hearty wave in lieu of a hug.

The dates available are November 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, & 22nd.

$150: One location, ~30 mins of shooting, Up to four people*, Up to 50 miles of travel for me*, A digital download of the images, Prints and products are available for purchase

*More than 4 people or need a different location further out? A full session is likely the better option, so get in touch and we’ll chat!

How to Book

Use the contact form below, mention mini sessions and the date you’re interested in, and let’s start planning!

    Is this for wedding or engagement photography?

    What is a mini session?

    Especially in a year like this one where elements of normalcy are sought after, I am very excited to be offering mini sessions again this year. They’re going to look a little different, but still be the same great experience. A mini session is a shortened version of a portrait session, typically 15-30 mins in length and scheduled with multiple time slots available in a day. Often the digital files and any prints or products are purchased separately or there’s a limit on how many digital files will be included. The photographer will post up in a single location and have people rotate in and out like a studio setting, often themed liked for the holidays or the season. These are like a little sample of a photographer’s work, a low-risk way for you to try out a photographer. They’re good for families, babies, couples, singles, headshots, cosplay, jumping in your wedding clothes early or for the second time: pretty much everything you can think of!

    Because of the tight time slots on mini sessions, punctuality is extremely important, so if you’re looking for more flexibility with timing, go with a full session instead! Because of that tight timeline, a mini session also means being okay with capturing the family as-is, so we’ll be capturing everyone’s running-climbing-jumping selves, whether they’re smiling or not. {I always, always try for the smiles, but hey if they don’t happen, they don’t happen!}

    Why have a mini session?

    Mini sessions are a fantastic choice if you want a couple of images quickly, like for a holiday card, or if someone is in town only for a short while, or if you want to celebrate a milestone in a child’s life {especially for those 3-month, 6-month, or 9-month sessions!}. They can be a great solution if funds are short but you want some amazing photos, or an excuse to pull out the costume you didn’t get to wear this year since all of the conventions were canceled, or just because!

    My day of mini sessions last year proved to be an amazing reunion of people I haven’t seen in such a long time; it was a delight to see families from years before, see how the kids had grown, see couples whose weddings I shot previously, and I even was able to work with some people for the first time to see how we would jive!

    If you’re thinking about giving me a trial run before chatting about your wedding plans, grab a mini session and let’s see if we’re a good fit!

    If your family has changed or grown, grab a mini session and let’s document this time in your lives!

    If it’s just been a while since you’ve had photos done, grab a mini session because there is NEVER a better time to have amazing photos of yourself than right now!
